How do you encourage city-dwelling athletes to be more active by making their workout gear readily accessible on demand? 

Evolve has spent years working closely with Nike’s brand innovation teams to identify and define new opportunities to inspire athletes around the world. We recently partnered on a program aimed at enhancing the ways in which city-dwelling athletes engage in sport. Together, we explored a new gear-on-demand service titled “Never Carry”. Leveraging growing fitness platforms such as Class Pass and Hussle, the Never Carry concept creates new opportunities for brand awareness, reduces barriers for urban athletes, and contributes to healthier cities. A win-win-win. 

Evolve ran a series of collaborative workshops with cross-disciplinary Nike teams to gain alignment and spur rapid ideation. The leading service concept took shape through physical product design (e.g. gym storage systems and gear bags) as well as UX/UI design (e.g. gear rental app and backend operations). To bring it home, and effectively communicate the opportunity internally at Nike, we produced a vision video that captured the end-to-end athlete journey.
